A DRESS FOR ALL WEATHERS

As much as I love to change up my wardrobe at the start of each season, there are a few pieces that remain all year round. There aren’t many but a couple of items can be worn no matter what the weather.

One of those is this Beatrice dress from Gal Meets Glam. I bought it back in January in the sale and have worn it with tights and boots in the winter, with pumps whilst exploring Paris in the spring and most recently on a summer city break in Edinburgh. It’s heavy-look fabric means the design doesn’t appear out of place with winter boots but the short sleeves and light colour are also perfect for warmer months.

Including outerwear, leather bags and shoes and a few other dresses, here is a sample of the pieces that stay in my wardrobe all year round.

Classic Dresses

It’s no surprise that dresses are a staple in my wardrobe. I alternate between different designs and styles throughout the year but there are a few that can be worn come rain or shine if paired with the right accessories.

Good Shoes

Over the years I must have gone through dozens of pairs of shoes but I’ve come to realise that buying a good quality pair which are comfortable and can be worn during different seasons is far more practical.

Leather Bags

During the summer I always wear basket and straw bags but the rest of the year I love a structured leather bag. Aspinal of London is my go to for high quality and stylish bags that will last a lifetime.

Outerwear

My outerwear changes from spring through to winter but having a selection of the right pieces helps when the weather is ever changing. Cashmere and wool cardigans as well as trench coats can be worn as layers during colder months or on their own over a dress on spring and summer evenings.
