There's nothing quite like traditional lemonade other than traditional pink lemonade.

It's my favourite summertime drink and goes perfectly with a slice of cake, so this year I decided to make a batch myself.

Here's what you'll need to fill eight glasses:

200ml Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice

7oz Caster Sugar

1 Litre Water

120ml Cranberry Juice

Add the lemon juice, sugar and water to a saucepan and bring to the boil. Simmer until the sugar has completely dissolved and allow to cool.

Once cool add the cranberry juice. Serve in tall glasses with plenty of ice, a few slices of lemon and pink paper straws. Any remaining juice can be stored in glass bottles in the fridge.

Enjoy with a slice of Victoria sponge and make sure to show me your pink pictures.
