REVIEW: KINKY BOOTS COMES TO ABERDEEN
I’ve never been the biggest fan of musicals but so many people have told me that Kinky Boots is a performance that everyone enjoys. So, when I heard that the show was making its way from London to Aberdeen I thought I would give it a go, and I’m so glad I did.
Like all of my reviews I won’t give away too many details and ruin the many surprises that this Broadway show offers but what I will say is that it’s not one to be missed. The combination of laugh out loud humour, choreography, colour and character make this is a stand out and memorable performance. And what everyone told me is true, there isn’t anyone that couldn’t like this show.
If you’re looking for a feel good story line combined with incredible dance and catchy music then this is the perfect opportunity to book. Kinky Boots will be in Aberdeen until Saturday 4 May, with tickets available via www.aberdeenperformingarts.com And if you can’t make this particular show make sure you take a look at the many other performances coming up. Here are some of my top picks:
The Magic Flute - 30 May - 01 June
The Lady Vanishes - 24 - 29 June
The Girl on the Train - 03 - 07 September
Little Miss Sunshine - 17 - 21 September
Annie - 24 - 28 September
Thank you to Aberdeen Performing Arts for sponsoring this post by gifting tickets.
