DUBAI TRAVEL GUIDE
We spent this New Year in Dubai. It was my third time to the city, this time staying with Cameron’s parents who moved there summer 2018, and every time I visit I see something new. There are constantly new shopping centres, restaurants and areas opening meaning that there is always something exciting to see or somewhere great to be.
Dubai may not be may favourite place in the world but as somewhere with guaranteed winter sunshine and a great stop off on route from the UK to Asia it ticks a lot of boxes. Here are some of my favourite places to stay, eat and visit in the city.
Where to Stay
The One and Only Royal Mirage - I stayed here in 2017 and just loved it. There’s a certain level of peace here that you don’t get elsewhere in the city or other hotels.
Park Hyatt - I haven’t stayed here but after visiting one evening for dinner and drinks I certainly want to.
Rixos, The Palm - if you’re looking for somewhere with luxury but a little more energy then this is the place.
Where to Eat
NOÉPE, Park Hyatt - a New England inspired restaurant overlooking a yacht club
Laudree, The Beach - very different from its home in Paris but of course the best place to pick up macarons
L’Eto Cafe - beautifully decorated inside and out, offering great salads and French inspired desserts
Where to Shop
The Beach - soak in the sunshine and browse a great selection of high street, designer and boutique stores along the coastline
City Walk - catch a little rest in the shade and find everything from chocolate shops and cafes to department stores and leading designer names.
